Susan's responsibilities at SSRS include project management and oversight, questionnaire development, weighting, data analysis and reporting. Prior to joining SSRS, Susan was a senior project manager at National Analysts Worldwide, a market research and consulting firm in Philadelphia. Susan also spent five years as an assistant research professor at the Eagleton Institute of Politics at Rutgers University. In that position, Susan directed research and programming in the area of civic engagement and political participation, particularly among young Americans. She took special pride in working with high school and college students to get thousands of their classmates registered to vote. While at Rutgers, Susan taught courses in Mass Media and U.S. Democracy and Political Campaigning. She has published papers in Political Communication and PS, Political Science and Politics.
Susan received her Ph.D. in Communication from the Annenberg School for Communication at the University of Pennsylvania. She graduated Summa Cum Laude from Brandeis University with a B.A. in English and American Literature. Susan and her husband live in Wallingford, PA. with their son and dog, both of whom have a talent for singing loudly and with enthusiasm.
